Barcelona Declaration on Land Stewardship. Take part and add your voice to this movement for caring together about nature!

landlifeThe Barcelona Declaration on land stewardship aims to establish the necessary bases to contribute to the further development of land stewardship at both regional and European level once the LandLife project ends by December 2014.

Europe is suffering a biodiversity loss due increasing pressure on ecosystems produced by climate change, intensification of production systems and land abandonment.

In this context, it is necessary and urgent to find a balance and compatibility between economic development and environment which guarantees ecosystem services and contributes to reduce biodiversity loss and protect the natural and cultural heritage of our land as well as to promote the integration of Land Stewardship in national and European policy and encourage its development and implementation.

After the preparatory work that involved LandLife partners as well as LandLife Steering Committee we open a participatory process to collect your opinions and contributions in order to elaborate the final version of the Barcelona Declaration.
